1990 Fender Stratocaster – MIA Candy Apple Red

This guitar looks, sounds and plays great. This Stratocaster is 34 years old and played mostly in a home studio but played at some live gigs as well, from what we were told. There are very minimal scratches on this guitar. This beauty is in excellent condition. As always, we try to capture any issues in our pictures. If you look, you will find a few scratches/dents/dings, but this should be expected on a 34 year old instrument. The most important part (besides looking super cool….) is how it plays and sounds. The pick guard and Sperzel tuners ($145) have been upgraded….which is a plus! Please review all pictures and feel free to ask questions. We put a new set of strings on this bad boy this week.

This guitar is the epitome the new “Stratocaster” that Fender had to come up with after they bought themselves back from CBS in 1985. They only started making this model in 1987, so it is within the first few years of the new Stratocaster design.

This is a great example of this series….and the CAR color…. is stunning. GRF GUITARS tries to find these models whenever we can especially in this condition.

The guitar comes with the Fender 2 mount tremolo system as seen in the pictures and includes a nice custom hard shell case. This new tremolo system was designed in 1986/87 and became the “standard” for all Strats beginning that year….and is still used today.

The maple neck is extremely clean and the action is great. The pickups are nice and punchy as well. This guitar comes with the OHSC as pictured. We are currently storing this Strat at our Savannah, GA studio.
